One of the easiest and best methods for helping you website to perform better is to compress the images on your website.

Optimising your images is going to really help your website and best of all you can do this for free.

About 60% of the websites I come across do not compress there images.

I am not talking about making your image wider or smaller this is the dimensions of your images I am talking about the weight of the images

If I was to weigh 100 megabytes that would be as heavy as a bad a full bag of sugar is a lot heavier than a feather.

There is a way to do this with Both Drupal and Wordpress without renaming the images or destroying the look of your site.

You can use Google page speed to get the front images compressed for you. All you have to do is upload them.

Simply jump over to https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/

Type your website in and analyse

Go-to the bottom of the screen and download optimised images and upload them to your website.

At the bottom of my article I have made some videos to show how easy this is to do this. There are plenty of websites to help out with compressing these images for free.
