Favicon missing how to generate and fix
Are you missing that little icon at the top of you website like in the picture not to worry this is an easy fix and will make a world of difference to your website.
I come across this quite a bit and basically it just looks plain ugly. A lot of people I have met do not know what it is called so they can’t fix it.
It is called favicon.
First of all let’s go and get the icon generated
Your best way to get a good looking icon is to use your logo like I have for my website.
Use any of the sites bellow to create your icon or icons first.

You have created you icon it’s time to upload it to your website. It’s really important
that you put the icon in the home directory.
For Drupal 8 it’s a simple case of adding it either in
admin/appearance/settings/theme-name
look for Favicon
or
admin/config/system/site-information
It really depends on what theme you are using.

Problems causing .fvicon not showing and solutions.
The first problem is if you have not created it for each device. It may show on your desktop computer but not on your phone.
The solution create an icon for each device using the links above.
The second problem is that your website is cached.
The solution simply clear the cache on your website. I found this the case with my website.
The third problem the code is not in your website for the favcon to show.
Finally you may have neither wordpress or Drupal long as your site has HTML
